When I was younger and something in my life went horribly wrong [as prone to happen], to cheer me up, someone would say: Don't worry it could be worse.
I write that person's name down. And when something happens to them that is so great that they feel the urge tell me about it, I tell them: Well... could be better. I hope they are happy to know that they do cheer me up.
